NBSC BUILDS GAD PLANNING CAPACITY FOR 2027 PLANS AND BUDGET PREPARATION
Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) strengthened its institutional capacity for gender-responsive planning by conducting the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GADFPS) Capacity Building Session on the 2027 GAD Plans and Budget (GPB) Preparation on July 30, 2026, at the Student Welfare and Development Center (SWDC) Rooms 309–310.
Zandra Shellee Y. Ordinan, MA, GAD Focal Person and Head of the Gender and Development Office (GADO), welcomed the participants and presented the rationale and objectives of the activity. She then introduced the resource speaker, Angelica B. Bolotaolo, GAD Focal Person of the Philippine Commission on Women-North Mindanao Field Office (PCW-NMFO) Region X.
Bolotaolo facilitated the capacity-building session, discussing key GAD concepts and the requirements for developing plans and budgets that align with national standards.
As part of the program, the activity also featured the presentation of the GAD Integrated System by Zichri A. Vicariato of the Information and Communications Technology Management Office (ICTMO), Data Administrator and System Developer. The system introduced a digital approach to organizing GAD planning, documentation, and monitoring, offering offices a more efficient way to manage related processes.
Participants spent the afternoon applying the discussions through a workshop on the 2027 GPB Preparation before groups composed of different offices presented their proposed GAD Plans and Budget. The presentations provided an opportunity to review proposed activities, targets, and funding requirements while receiving feedback that could further improve each office’s submission.
In her closing message, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa encouraged participants to reflect on one quality they possess as GAD advocates, emphasizing the importance of personal commitment in advancing gender-responsive programs.
Through the activity, NBSC reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening gender-responsive governance by equipping its offices with the knowledge, tools, and digital support needed to prepare responsive and compliant GAD Plans and Budget for 2027.
